  • I also have Fibro and Neuropathy and Chronic Pain Syndrome and I have Degenerative Disc Syndrome. ( this is in my back, my disc are turning to gel). Does anyone else feel like their feet are on FIRE ???? I have gone as far to cool down my feet sticking them in the snow. My pain puts me in bed at different times. I have gone thru so many tests. I am tired, I hurt all the time. Any Idea's ?
  • I have lived with this so many years! So I do have a story to tell and it's my story but maybe it could also be your story too.
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for 10 years. It began when I was struggling with an unknown infection in my body that took 4 years to finally get rid of. It was in year 2 of this process that one day I felt like I had been run over and after 3 weeks of no relief my Dr. diagnosed FM. Symptoms came and went, weird sensations that made no sense. Extreme fatigue, IBS, TMJ.
Changed my eating, went gluten and sugar free. Took Cymbalta. Muscle relaxers, tramadol, etc... I was living the FM rollercoaster and doing the best I could. Always complaining the my legs were never without some form of that tingling, burning, aching, tightness, numbness. Went to see my GYN last week and at the end of my appt, I mentioned that my FM was really doing a number on my legs. Numbness localized in the buttocks, pelvic area. Increased tightening and constant pain. I was always about 2 seconds from crying at any time. He looked at my and said that is not Fibroymalgia. Was told this on a Monday, saw my primary dr on Wednesday, had a MRI on Friday, saw a spine doctor on Monday had surgery on Thursday for Cauda Equina one week ago today. I'm anxious to see what symptoms if any I am left with. Immediately the nerve pain was different when I awoke. I'm not saying this will change everything, but it was a serious issue with consequences that left untreated were life changing. I just want to let others know what happened to me. That we get used to having pain that others would not tolerate. I needed to hear one doctor say check this out. My path was lit with neon lights that lead me to this surgery. I'm so grateful. I still believe I have Fibroymalgia. But what the heck do I know anymore?
  • I have Fibromyalgia, Restless Leg Syndrome, Migraines, High Blood Pressure & Vertigo. I have suffered from Migraines most of my life. I went to see a Neurologist for this (I was on my 28th migraine in 10 days. Averaged about 4-5 migraines/day.) After filling out all the paperwork, the Neurologist looked at it & told me that I had a Sleep Disorder. I did the Sleep Test at the hospital & was diagnosed with RLS. This has been over 15 years.
A few years later I was dealing with pain in my right shoulder from an injury. I was opening a door & someone on the other side tripped & fell against the door just as I opened it about an inch. It shoved my wrist back & everything was jammed up to my shoulder. After an MRI, second opinion, 35 x-rays & multiple discussions, I had an inch of collar bone removed followed by physical therapy.
I started having pain in my shoulder at the base of my neck & in the shoulder joint. I was sent to a Pain Specialist who did 3 Cervical Nerve Blocks in my neck. It worked for a few years. Then came the pain in my hands, elbows, arms, fingers, thighs, knees & feet. This time I was diagnosed with FM. We have changed my medicines so many times due to all the problems, trying to get dosages right, medicines that didn't work. I have also had Carpal Tunnel Surgery on my right wrist & Arthroscopic Surgery on my left knee due to torn tissue in it.
I have worked fast food for almost 29 years. I have gone from management position to that of an employee. I work 7 days/wk but only 3-4 hrs/day. My hands are constantly in cold water as I cut lettuce & make salads. I also have what is believed to be a fungal infection on my hands (believe I may be allergic to vinyl gloves at work that must be worn). This has been going on for almost 2 years. Waiting on referral to Dermatologist. Skin cracks, very dry, itches, stings & burns. Hurts to put in water even with gloves on.
It makes it very hard to work & other employees think that I am milking the clock if I don't have my work done in 3 hrs.
They just don't understand how much pain I'm in, how hard it is to hold on to things, wrap fingers around handle on lettuce chopper. I have worked longer shifts when needed, but have really paid the price for it. Legs & feet hurt so bad that I can barely stand. Have trouble getting out of bed during the night due to pain so I can get a drink, use bathroom or try to walk to get rid of leg cramps. For anyone with FM, I truly hope that is all you are dealing with. As you can see, it is much worse when compounded with other ailments.
I wish everyone who has to deal with this, the best of luck & may you find something that helps. The hot baths help some & so does the electronic stimulation.
  • @TammyMoore no electronic stimulation does not work that well. Going to the y, or sign up for arthritis classes at a pool. Warm water. Not pool temp. Big difference. Very helpful. The best I had been for years. Try it.
  • @TammyMoore for migraines the best is chiropractic help. Went to a sport medicine chiro. A one mine are gone after two sessions. Then after a year of seeing him, I go when I feel tight in neck and shoulders. Really, really works. Migraines are nothing to sneeze at.
  • I have been diagnosed with Fibro in 2009. I did not share with a lot of people because many did not believe that it was a diagnosis. I do believe that I have had it since childhood. (Growing pains) I am so happy to have found this out let and I am thrilled that fibromyalgia is Now a true diagnosis. I too have issues with numbness in feet and hands. It seems to happen in the late afternoons and evenings. I take a hot bath before bed. I also use a heating pad as needed. I injured my left upper arm and have a plexus injury. I will need injections because pt has not worked. Had to go out on disability. I think that fibromyalgia includes so many different ailments. Thank for the outlet.
I am sure I will continue to read all the great posts and get some good ideas
  • I have been going to bed at night and after im asleep for an hour or two, I wake up out of a deep sleep with pain going through my legs. Its like muscle aches, then the newest one is , I wake up with my right arm like dead, its not really tingling, just the dead feeling. I find the only way to get rid of it is, to sit up and kind of shake it out, if that makes any sense at all. I want to know if anyone else gets this feeling.....
  • @jcoon I read your post and I couldnt believe what I was reading.. It was as if I was listening to what my mother use to say to me as I was growing up as a kid.. ( Its only growing pains) I remember waking up out of a deep sleep with pain going through my legs, ahh it was terrible. Then I have recently read on here that fibro is hereditary.... WOW who would know... I just feel so sorry for my children, I wouldnt wish this on anyone. Hopefully it passes them by...

I had about given up when I read these articles. I swear you are describing my existence, as I can't really call what I'm presently doing living. The medical profession has failed me tremendously lately, but thanks to this information, I have renewed hope of regaining some control and relief. Thank you more than I can adequately say.

  • Well I was diagnosed with this several years ago, but I did not believe the doctor I had seen, and I could not take the medicine. Was diagnosed with osteo in my 30's.. I have most of the symptoms which are rapidly increasing...this stinks....anyone have panic attacks, increased anxiety? Also I used to get horrible pain in my legs with periods, like the pain I get now...Anyone else?
  • I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia around 6 years ago although I'm certain I have had it much longer than that. I have suffered from sleeplessness, joint stiffness, severe pains, depression and fatigue. My neurologist prescribed duloxetin 40mg daily (Given as 20mg twice daily), although it did relieve some of the pain, I still suffered from joint stiffness and extreme fatigue. Finally, i started on Fibromyalgia herbal formula i ordered from NewLife Herbal Clinic, this herbal formula did the magic! almost immediately i started usage, i started noticing a general reduction of symptoms including the very severe pains and fatigue. 9 weeks into usage, the disease has totally succumbed to this herbal treatment. The whole pains and terrible fatigue has seized and i am now able to function fully well again. (Visit their website www . newlifeherbalclinic . com) I'm able to get out of bed in the morning and have more energy to go about my daily activities.
  • I think I've had fibromyalgia for many years but was diagnosed approximately 5 years ago. I was working at Walmart and was just exhausted. Not the tiredness that sleep helps. I mean totally exhausted, with muscle pain. My primary doctor diagnosed fibromyalgia. He prescribed Cymbalta around 4 years ago. Cymbalta was approved for Fibromyalgia treatment. Although it did relieve some of the pain, I still suffered from fatigue. November 2017 my doctor started me on Green House Herbal Clinic fibromyalgia Herbal mixture, 7 weeks into treatment I improved dramatically. At the end of the full treatment course, the disease is totally under control. No case of fatigue, muscle pain, mood swings, or nervousness. Visit Green House Herbal Clinic official website www. greenhouseherbalclinic .com. I am strong again and able to go about daily activities.‌ This Herbal Formula is Incredible!! My life is back.
