At least there was finally a name for what I had, years after it all started.
I had pain and knots in my back for many years. I would be sent for physical therapy and get worse. Finally, I reached the point where I had problems lifting lightweight things, including my newborn grandson! After seeing many doctors, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I already had degenerative disk disease! At least there was finally a name for what I had, years after it all started.

I have to do things at my own pace as well as accept help around the house. Vacuuming, washing the floors, seasonal cleaning, etc. really hurts. If I can't keep plans, then understand or too bad! Sometimes I need a cane, bed sheets will make me cry. I meditate now to help relax as much as possible. I have a third grandchild on the way and I refuse not to enjoy the baby or my two grandsons! Their laughter, kisses and gentle hugs, yes, they know to be gentle with Grandma! It all means so much to me and gives me reason to push on! Never give up and never say never!
Crocheting for my grandchildren, gardening at a table, walking as much as I can even if it’s only for a short distance sometimes. I'll try and do as much as my body allows and I won't just give up!
My family and closest friends, they believe I'm in a lot of pain and tired most of the time. They help me when I ask for help to go someplace and help me when I can't do something due to my pain or need a hand; they comfort me when I want to give up; and they love me!
Enjoy your good days. On those days that you just cry in pain, think of those who are suffering from something worse than you! Find someone who understands and will listen when you need to talk, cry or even laugh at yourself! You're not alone. Remember that! Many of us are feeling the same!

There are good days, you just may need to keep track! A good friend will always believe you! You're NOT alone! Gentle hugs, my friend.
Over 15 years ago, I started having pain and "muscle" knots. I had back problems since I was a teen, but I took Aspirin for it. The pain worsened throughout my body about eight years ago. I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It took a lot of doctors and tests to find it! I'm almost 56 now and I struggle through each day. Prayer along with a caring and loving family get me through. I listen to a lot of relaxing music too!
